Purpose 

To enhance the health and wellbeing of the elderly, frail and disadvantaged, while embracing individuals of all cultural backgrounds and celebrating the significant Italian heritage of our region.

The Granite Belt community is at the heart of all that we do, that is why we embrace and support community members in need. 


The Italian Australian Welfare Association is committed to enhancing the lives of the elderly, frail and disadvantaged by providing beneficial support services delivered by a dedicated team that respect and honour the cultural heritage and uniqueness of each individual.


Vision 

To establish the Italian Australian Welfare Association within the local community as a leading care provider that enriches the lives of those in need by helping our community members to live their best life possible.

Objectives

The organisations objectives are:

Best Practise Care 

We will continue to only employ nursing and care staff that are appropriately skilled and qualified to deliver clinical and personal care of a high standard. We will remain dedicated to ensuring the ongoing training and development of all staff in order to achieve service excellence.

Connection

We will bring the elderly, frail and disadvantaged community together through co-ordinated social activities that promote inclusiveness and alleviate loneliness and boredom.

Multi-Culturalism 

We will embrace individuals from all cultural backgrounds and will celebrate the significant Italian presence in our community through culturally focused events and projects. 

Governance 

We will guide the Italian Australian Welfare Association into the future through successful leadership that creates an operating environment focused on people and performance. 

Diversification 

We are committed to expanding and diversifying our services to include a holistic range of assistance options that will further increase and prolong our client’s ability to live independently.
